AI cloud company CoreWeave announced plans to invest over $6 billion to develop a large-scale data center in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with the main aim of supporting high-performance AI workloads. The site is expected to facilitate advanced AI computing infrastructure in line with CoreWeave’s US expansion strategy. The data center, initially targeting 100 MW of AI compute, acknowledges national policy efforts promoting domestic AI infrastructure. It is set to create 600 jobs during construction and employ around 175 staff in the long term, positioning itself as a key AI hub in the Mid-Atlantic region.
