Intelsat Partners with iKO Media Group to Launch ‘Faith Beyond’ Service for Faith-Based Broadcasters on Galaxy 19 Satellite
Intelsat has expanded its collaboration with iKO Media Group (iKOMG) to support the launch of a new innovative service called ‘Faith Beyond,’ specifically designed for faith-based broadcasters. This service will be delivered via Intelsat’s Galaxy 19 (G-19) satellite, a prominent free-to-air direct-to-home (DTH) satellite neighborhood serving audiences across North America. The partnership announcement was made public on June 17.
iKOMG, known for providing teleport and cloud services for broadcasters, developed ‘Faith Beyond’ as a fully managed, end-to-end distribution and engagement platform. The service integrates multiple components vital to faith-based content providers, including satellite broadcasting, over-the-top (OTT) streaming, live event management, cloud-native playout, and comprehensive metadata management – all within a unified ecosystem designed to enhance viewer engagement and operational efficiency.
In addition to the new service, Intelsat recently enhanced its VideoNow electronic program guide (EPG) for Galaxy 19 by incorporating audience measurement capabilities. This advancement is a strategic step towards enabling ad monetization opportunities in the DTH free-to-air satellite video market, offering broadcasters valuable insights into viewer behavior and engagement.
