Orange Group Names Eng. Yasser Shaker Executive Vice President and Chairman
The Orange Group has officially appointed Eng. Yasser Shaker, the current CEO of Orange Egypt, as the Executive Vice President and CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, effective from July 1, 2025. Eng. Shaker, in agreement with the Board of Directors of Orange MEA, will also become a part of the Group’s Executive Committee.
Alongside his new regional responsibilities, Eng. Shaker will assume the role of Chairman of Orange Egypt, starting from August 1, 2025. During his tenure as the CEO of Orange Egypt, he successfully navigated the company through a transformative phase, boosting growth, profitability, and solidifying Orange’s market presence in Egypt’s fiercely competitive telecommunications sector.
Orange Middle East and Africa, operating in 18 countries, stands out as one of the Group’s vibrant regions and a key driver of growth. This strategic leadership shift underscores the trust Orange places in Shaker’s 28 years of industry expertise and his remarkable journey in leadership.
