Ndeye Amy Kebe: Empowering Agriculture with Technology in Senegal

Ndeye Amy Kebe is a Senegalese social entrepreneur and ICT expert who founded Jokalante, a social enterprise focusing on digital inclusion and agriculture. Established in 2016, Jokalante provides farmers and rural communities with tools to access vital information, irrespective of language or literacy barriers, contributing to food security and climate change resilience.
The platform offers voice messages and SMS in local languages and facilitates an interactive voice response system for remote advice. Jokalante enhances communication between stakeholders, bridging the gap between field practitioners and experts.
In 2024, Jokalante introduced Nafoore, an AI-powered voice chatbot, enabling personalized responses based on environmental factors. Moreover, Kebe founded Caman, a vocational training institute in 2018, after completing her education in adult training at the University of Lille.
