A high-level Saudi Arabian delegation, led by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, explored high-speed connectivity and partnerships to advance communication in key sectors like transport, energy, industry, and education during an official tour of the United Kingdom.

The delegation started at Wayve, a company specializing in AI-driven autonomous driving technologies, where they learned about AV2.0, the latest smart mobility solutions. They later visited Automata Technologies, focusing on laboratory automation through robotics and the LINQ platform that integrates AI for diagnostics and biomedical research.

To support tech entrepreneurship and innovation adoption, talks were held with leaders from Catapult, a UK organization scaling innovative businesses. The delegation also engaged with executives from OneWeb, a satellite company, to explore high-speed connectivity initiatives in sectors like transport, energy, industry, and education to boost innovation and support the Kingdom’s satellite ecosystem.

This visit aligns with Saudi Arabia’s strategy to localize future technologies, enhance global partnerships, and establish itself as a major innovation center in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
