iQOO Appoints Vedang Vikas as Chief Gaming Officer

Smartphone maker iQOO has named Vedang Vikas, a 25-year-old gamer and esports coach, as its Chief Gaming Officer to enhance engagement with online gamers. Vikas, selected from over 80,000 gamers, will spearhead iQOO’s Gaming Vision, receiving a Rs 10 lakh package, according to vivo, the group’s brand.
The nationwide search covering 400 Indian cities and towns attracted more than 80,000 entries from gaming enthusiasts, resulting in Vikas’s selection. This role will allow him to collaborate with leading gamers nationwide and compete for a prize of Rs 10 lakh.
Nipun Marya, the CEO of iQOO, expressed confidence in Vikas’s experience as a player, coach, and mentor, anticipating his valuable insights into the gaming community and esports projects.
Furthermore, in a move to reinforce its position in esports, iQOO has designated Harshvardhan as the official caster, as per the announcement.
