Realme’s Strategic Portfolio Reboot for Growth in 2025-2026

Realme has announced a strategic shift in its smartphone portfolio in India, aiming for growth in 2025 and 2026. The company plans to focus on three core series: the GT Series, the Number Series, and the P Series. This move is expected to simplify choices for consumers and enhance product experience.
The brand has removed the “Plus” variants from its Realme 15 series to enhance the features of its “Pro” models. The GT Series targets premium innovation, the Number Series focuses on offline sales, and the P Series leads the online-first strategy.
Realme’s Market Share in India
Realme secured the fourth position in India’s smartphone market in the April-June 2025 quarter with a 10% market share, though it experienced a decline from the previous year. Shipments fell by 17% year-on-year, with offline gains partially offsetting online softness.
In a push towards the premium segment, Realme introduced the GT 7 Dream Edition featuring premium design elements. The brand aims to strengthen its premium segment with AI-equipped GT-series smartphones while driving volume sales through the Number-series and targeting young professionals and students with the P Series.
Realme’s revised product strategy has already shown promising results, with the Realme P3 Ultra 5G and the Realme 15 series driving significant sales growth. Continued investments in offline retail and product design are set to bolster Realme’s position in the mid-premium segment.
