This initiative, officially named the Submarine Cable Project, aims to connect Zamboanga City to Isabela City through a high-capacity 175-kilometre subsea cable featuring 48 cores. The network will also link municipalities such as Basilan and Sulu, making Isabela City a strategic regional hub for advanced internet services. By expanding its infrastructure, Globe is set to play a significant role in fostering economic growth and bridging the digital gap across Mindanao.

With demand for reliable high-speed internet surging, particularly among small businesses, Globe recognizes the critical importance of expanding its broadband network. The Submarine Cable Project aligns seamlessly with the company’s broader efforts to support the nation’s digital transformation and empower communities through connectivity. Improved internet access is set to unlock new opportunities for entrepreneurship, education, and remote work, contributing to a more inclusive digital economy.
