Aeris Launches IoT Watchtower in APAC with Bridge Alliance

Provider of cellular IoT solutions, Aeris, in collaboration with mobile company Bridge Alliance, announces the launch of Aeris IoT Watchtower in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This agentless solution offers a comprehensive view of IoT device vulnerabilities to cyber threats, empowering companies to mitigate potential attacks effectively.
Aeris manages cellular IoT connectivity for telecom operators within Bridge Alliance Members Operators (BMOs) via the Aeris IoT Accelerator (IoTA) platform, with the Watchtower catering to the market sector’s needs.
Enterprises are challenged to secure their cellular-connected IoT devices as hackers exploit these devices. Recent Forrester research highlights that IoT devices, often not listed in company assets, are prime targets for cyberattacks. Current IoT connectivity solutions lack control and visibility features essential for combatting cyber threats.
Industries like utilities and automotive are leveraging cellular IoT for revenue growth and enhanced connectivity. Berg Insight reports a global connection of 1.1 billion cellular IoT devices with a projected 16% CAGR in the next two years. APAC boasts 170 million connected cellular IoT devices, expected to double by 2033.
Aeris IoT Watchtower, already available in the US and Europe, will now serve APAC enterprises in partnership with Bridge Alliance. The solution aims to bridge the cellular IoT security gap for companies utilizing cellular connectivity in IoT and IIoT contexts.
The solution comprises components like Awareness and Enforcement, enabling companies to monitor IoT devices, detect security issues promptly, and assess security risks for regulatory compliance.
Mark Cratsenburg, Chief Commercial Officer for Aeris’ IoT Business Unit, emphasizes the Watchtower’s role in providing enterprises with complete visibility into cellular IoT security risks, preempting threats before affecting operations.
