New Delhi: Apple has launched a new feature allowing customers in India to video call Apple Store retailers directly from the online store when making a purchase. This service, previously available only in the US, offers a secure, one-way video call connection with an Apple team member, enabling customers to explore the latest Apple products, discover new features, and learn about trade-in programs and financing options from their homes.

Apple’s head of Retail Online, Karen Rasmussen, expressed excitement about enhancing customer engagement in the vibrant Indian market through the ‘Shop with a Specialist over Video’ feature. While customers remain on audio during the video call, they receive personalized advice to compare models and select the most suitable product, with support available for both iOS and non-iOS devices. The service operates from Monday to Friday, between 10AM and 7PM.

Rasmussen highlighted Apple’s commitment to accessibility, ensuring that customers nationwide can easily access Apple’s products and services. The team looks forward to assisting more Indian customers in finding the right Apple products to meet their needs.

Apple’s focus on the Indian market extends beyond exports, with significant growth in iPhone and Mac sales. In Q2 2025, Apple ranked sixth in the Indian smartphone market, with the iPhone 16 family dominating over 55% of shipments, while the iPhone 15 and 13 models continued to drive demand across various price segments, as reported by Canalys.
