Cameroon is set to elevate its position as a digital hub in Africa through its planned participation in the ambitious Medusa Africa submarine cable project. The country has completed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and submitted it to the Presidency for final approval, according to Econfin Agency. With a projected investment of CFA32.8 billion (approximately US$58.6 million), Cameroon’s partnership in this EU-backed initiative spearheaded by AFR-IX Telecom is expected to bring significant advancements to its digital infrastructure.
