At the 2025 US-Africa Business Summit, The Coca-Cola Company unveiled the results of a comprehensive socio-economic impact assessment conducted across Africa. Luisa Ortega, President of The Coca-Cola Company’s Africa Operating Unit, shared key findings from the study, emphasizing the company’s steadfast support for the continent’s economic advancement.

During an exclusive interview, Ms. Ortega elaborated on the significance of the Africa-wide socio-economic impact study introduced at the summit and discussed its implications.

The Coca-Cola system’s involvement in Africa dates back to 1928, expanding into a sprawling network that engages with authorized bottlers, suppliers, retailers, and entrepreneurs. With a strong local presence, the company contributes to job creation, local industry enhancement, and community upliftment by sourcing, producing, and distributing goods locally.
