Daniel Oulai is an Ivorian social entrepreneur who founded and leads Grainotech, an agri-tech startup in Abidjan.

Grainotech, established in 2017, focuses on transforming local agricultural practices through innovation and digital technologies. The company’s goal is to sustainably structure plant and animal value chains while promoting biodiversity, economic inclusion, and food autonomy.

The ecosystem developed by Grainotech covers the entire agricultural chain, offering solutions from animal reproduction to feed production. The company supports small producers through training, equipment provision, and market access facilitation, with a vision to impact 60,000 farming families by 2030.

Utilizing digital platforms, school farms, and a Fablab, Grainotech creates and shares open-source solutions like the connected solar incubator, enabling farmers in rural areas without electricity to reduce egg hatching losses using recycled materials.

Daniel Oulai, who holds a master’s degree in agricultural development, has a rich background in social entrepreneurship and community development in Côte d’Ivoire. His achievements include receiving prestigious awards for his impactful agricultural projects.
