The AI-phone features a magenta button for quick access to the Perplexity Assistant, streamlining tasks like finding recipes, scheduling appointments, translating languages, and even planning trips. By integrating with various apps, the assistant serves as a personal organizer, fitness advisor, and virtual travel agent.
European Rollout
Deutsche Telekom is not only making these devices affordable, priced at €149 for the AI-phone and €199 for the AI-tablet in Germany, but also providing buyers with a subscription to Perplexity Pro and a Picsart Pro license. The products are now available in multiple European markets, with plans for a “Pro” AI-phone version and sustainable initiatives like the #GreenMagenta label.
Additionally, customers can access “Magenta AI” through the MeinMagenta app, offering AI services and image editing tools powered by Picsart. This strategic move aligns with market trends, anticipating a surge in AI-capable smartphones shipments and consumer demand for AI-driven features.
