Intelsat Partners with iKO Media Group for Faith-Based Broadcasters
Intelsat has expanded its collaboration with iKO Media Group (iKOMG) to introduce a new service tailored for faith-based broadcasters. iKOMG, specializing in teleport and cloud services, will deliver the ‘Faith Beyond’ service through Intelsat’s Galaxy 19 (G-19) satellite.
G-19 serves North American audiences as a free-to-air, direct-to-home platform. The agreement was unveiled by Intelsat on June 17.
The ‘Faith Beyond’ service by iKOMG is a comprehensive solution designed to cater to the unique requirements of faith-based broadcasters. It integrates various elements such as satellite broadcasting, OTT streaming, live events, cloud-native playout, and metadata management into a single package.
Intelsat has recently enhanced its VideoNow electronic program guide (EPG) for G-19 with audience measurement capabilities, marking a move towards ad-monetization within the free-to-air (FTA) satellite video market.
