Smartphone maker iQOO has named Vedang Vikas, a 25-year-old gamer and esports coach, as its Chief Gaming Officer. The brand aims to enhance engagement with online gamers while co-creating its devices.

Vedang triumphed over 80,000 gamers to lead iQOO’s Gaming Vision and will receive a Rs 10 lakh package, according to a statement from the vivo group brand.

He was selected after a nationwide search across 400 Indian cities, attracting over 80,000 entries from gaming enthusiasts. This role will allow him to collaborate with top Indian gamers and win a prize of Rs 10 lakh.

iQOO CEO Nipun Marya stated, “With his background as a player, coach, and mentor, we trust that he will bring a deeper insight into the gaming community and offer a new perspective to our esports endeavors.”

As part of its commitment to esports, iQOO has also designated Harshvardhan as its official caster.
