Oracle and Bloom Energy Partnership: Powering AI Data Centers
The partnership between Oracle and Bloom Energy aims to deploy fuel cell systems at select Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data centers in the U.S. to meet the increasing power demands of AI workloads.
Bloom Energy will provide on-site fuel cell systems capable of powering entire data centers within 90 days, offering reliable, scalable, and low-emission electricity to support OCI’s growing AI infrastructure.
Oracle’s executive vice president Mahesh Thiagarajan highlighted the importance of Bloom’s fuel cell technology in enhancing the sustainability and performance of OCI’s AI data centers.
The fuel cells minimize environmental impact by providing power with almost zero air pollution and no water consumption, aligning with Oracle’s sustainability goals.

With a proven track record of deploying over 400 MW globally, Bloom Energy has established partnerships with Equinix, AEP, and Quanta Computing, showcasing their expertise in delivering clean and efficient power solutions.
Oracle’s Investment in Cloud and AI Infrastructure in Europe
Oracle’s significant investments in the Netherlands and Germany highlight their commitment to expanding cloud and AI services in Europe to meet the rising demand for AI and data services.
In the Netherlands, Oracle plans to invest $1 billion to expand capacity in the Amsterdam region, enabling local organizations to access AI infrastructure and cloud services.
Meanwhile, Oracle will invest $2 billion in its Frankfurt cloud region to support public and private sector organizations transitioning to AI and cloud computing.
Expanding Stargate Project with OpenAI
Oracle and OpenAI’s collaboration to expand the Stargate project in the U.S. with an additional 4.5 GW of data center capacity aims to create over 100,000 jobs and meet the growing demand for AI across various sectors.
The Stargate scheme will build a network of AI data centers nationwide, catering to sectors such as scientific research, healthcare, automation, defense, and finance.
