Orange Cyberdefense Acquires ensec: Strengthening Cybersecurity Presence in Switzerland

Orange Cyberdefense, the cybersecurity subsidiary of Orange, has acquired 100% of ensec, a Swiss cybersecurity company based in Zurich, known for its expertise in consulting, IT security integration, managed security services, and tailored support for leading cybersecurity products. The acquisition, finalized on 23 July, will enhance Orange Cyberdefense’s foothold in Switzerland, particularly in German-speaking regions, complementing its existing operations in the French-speaking part of the country.
Established in Switzerland since 2022, Orange Cyberdefense boasts a strong reputation in offensive security solutions and works closely with a diverse range of clients, including SMBs, large corporations, and public entities, in cooperation with Orange Business.
With the acquisition of ensec, Orange Cyberdefense gains additional expertise and customer proximity in the Germanic areas of Switzerland. ensec, known for its 40 highly skilled experts and a client base of over 130 companies in finance, retail, energy, and the public sector, offers distinct advantages through its local presence.
This strategic move enables Orange Cyberdefense to leverage synergies with Orange Business, enhance its global sales capabilities, and further solidify its position as a key player in European cybersecurity. The acquisition aligns with Orange Cyberdefense’s goal to be the preferred cybersecurity partner in Switzerland and beyond, blending local presence with specialized services and advanced threat intelligence.
